Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte handed debuts to summer signings Diego Godin and Nicolo Barella as the Nerazzurri beat Paris Saint-Germain 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in their preseason friendly in China.
And it was Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic who emerged as the hero, saving twice from Adil Aouchiche and Arthur Zagre before Joao Mario stepped up and kept his nerve to hand the Serie A side the victory.
Barella, who joined from Cagliari was making his first start for Inter and, in the absence of Mauro Icardi, Conte picked Ivan Perisic -- another player whose future is up in the air -- in attack. Godin was introduced as a second half substitute.
PSG start their season with a clash against Rennes in the Trophee des Champions on Saturday Aug. 3.
