Kerala Blasters open with win against NorthEast United

Kerala Blasters opened their Indian Super League campaign with a 3-1 win over NorthEast United on Tuesday.

Josue opened the scoring four minutes after half-time by blasting a volley past NorthEast keeper Rehnesh Paramba.

Paramba did well to limit the damage but could not stop Mohd Rafi from doubling Kerala's advantage in the 68th minute.

Former Arsenal academy product attacker Sanchez Watt made it 3-0 four minutes later when he was played in on goal by Rafi.

Nico Velez scored a consolation goal for NorthEast with a blast eight minutes from time, but that was all for the visitors.
