Barnet extend run with York draw

Barnet extended their unbeaten away run to a fifth game with a 1-1 draw at struggling York.
A debut goal from Lewis Alessandra gave the Minstermen the lead but Martin Allen's men made it nine points from 15 on the road courtesy of John Akinde's 15th goal of the season.
York forged ahead in the 20th minute after Jake Hyde broke through the right channel. His low diagonal shot came back off Jamie Stephens' right-hand post and on-loan Rochdale striker Alessandra pounced from 10 yards to score.
Barnet were back on level terms in the 37th minute when Akinde swept home from eight yards following a low right-wing cross by full-back James Pearson.
The hosts showed ambition after the break with Danny Galbraith's free-kick tipped on to the crossbar by Stephens and Luke Summerfield also tested the same part of the woodwork with a header, but Barnet might also have stolen the points with Akinde heading narrowly wide.
