Watson, Hyde lead Chiefs to 31-24 victory over Chiefs

Deshaun Watson threw for 280 yards and a touchdown while running for two more, outdueling Chiefs counterpart Patrick Mahomes in a matchup of former first-round picks and leading the Houston Texans to a 31-24 victory over Kansas City on Sunday.

RT Tytus Howard was carted off the field at the start of the second half. The first-round pick, who started the season at LG, has showed a lot of improvement, and is part of a line who has not allowed Watson to be sacked in the last six quarters.

Deshaun Watson gave the Texans the 23-17 lead over the Chiefs going into halftime with a three-yard touchdown run. Houston got off to a terrible start, down 10-0 with less than five minutes off the clock, but have turned the game around. Watson has completed 15 of 24 passes for 139 yards, with a touchdown and an interception.

ILB Zach Cunningham (knee) is probable to return. He left the game in the second quarter.
