Suns fire Watson, name Triano interim coach

Jay Triano will serve as the Suns' interim head coach following the firing of Earl Watson, the team announced late Sunday. Triano was Watson's associate head coach and previously coached the Raptors. He takes over one of the NBA's youngest teams.

Phoenix Suns head coach Earl Watson said that his team "needs to become closer" following a second 40-point loss in four nights. Watson added that veterans Eric Bledsoe and Tyson Chandler are being counted on to be "vocal leaders" for a young team.
