Mike Trout is a diehard Sixers fan, but he never really thought LeBron James would join his team. "I mean, he's got a house in LA; you had stories coming out saying that his kids were going to some school," Trout said. "As a Sixers fan, there's always hope. But they've got a good young core over there, with Embiid and Simmons and all that. LeBron would've definitely helped, for sure. But it's obviously his decision."

The Lakers finally are able to officially announce the draft trade for forward Isaac Bonga. The Lakers traded a 2019 second round draft pick and cash to the Sixers for the 39th pick. Bonga averaged 6.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists for Germany's Fraport Skyliners.

Philadelphia after a summer of signing or trading for players on one-year contracts now project to enter the summer of 2019 with $42M in cap space. Because of the restricted free agency of Ben Simmons and Dario Saric in 2020, the window to use room will begin to close after next off-season.

Bobby Marks ESPN

Philadelphia is now faced with some roster decisions with the addition of Nemanja Bjelica. The 76ers now have 17 players under contract, including the non-guaranteed salary of TJ McConnell and Richaun Holmes. Teams can carry a maximum of 20 players during the off-season but must trim down to 15 before the regular season.

Sources: Nuggets trade Chandler to 76ers

Denver saved millions in luxury tax by trading the expiring contract of Wilson Chandler to Philadelphia.

Bobby Marks ESPN

Trading Wilson Chandler to Philadelphia will save Denver $50M in combined salary and luxury tax. The Nuggets tax bill now drops from $51.3M to $14.3M. The $12.8M Chandler contract can be traded immediately without any restrictions because Philadelphia acquired him with room.
