Cubs beat Giants 5-1 to win 3rd straight

Kris Bryant, Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist hit solo homers, spot starter Eddie Butler pitched five effective innings and the Chicago Cubs beat the San Francisco Giants 5-1 on Thursday for their third straight win.

Zippy game at Wrigley Field, where the Chicago Cubs finished their homestand with a 5-1 win over the San Francisco Giants. Kris Bryant, Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist provided the offense with solo homers off Jeff Samardzija. Eddie Butler and Mike Montgomery held the Giants to a lone, first-inning tally despite combining to strike out just one batter in the game.
