Was looking at overall numbers since last season's All-Star break while considering my ASG picks for this season. One thing I had not expected to find: Since July 15, 2016, Atlanta's Ender Inciarte leads all big-leaguers with 200 hits.

Power Rankings: Braves trending upward

The Braves have been one of the five best teams in baseball the past two weeks, winning some close games and crushing the ball in the process. Dansby Swanson has been one of the bright spots.

Stats & Info

Dickey feeling at home in Atlanta

In his last four starts, R.A. Dickey has three quality outings at SunTrust Park and a stinker against the Nationals on the road (eight runs in five innings). Such has been a larger theme for the knuckleballer this season.

Foltynewicz, Swanson lead Braves over Brewers 5-4

Mike Foltynewicz won his fourth straight decision at home, shortstop Dansby Swanson made a pair of outstanding defensive plays in the ninth inning and the Atlanta Braves beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5-4 on Friday night for their sixth win in seven games.

'Ecstatic' Freeman says wrist 80-90 pct. healed

The Braves' Freddie Freeman has been told his wrist is 80-90 percent healed, allowing the timetable for his expected return to move up about one week to July 6 at NL East-leading Washington.

Braves call up Peterson

The Braves recalled 2B Jace Peterson from Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday afternoon, optioning INF Rio Ruiz down to Gwinnett to make room. Peterson has slashed just .193/.293/.259 in 42 games with the major league club this season.

Kemp comes through late

The walk-off home run that Braves LF Matt Kemp hit in the 11th inning of Wednesday's 5-3 win vs. the Giants was the eighth extra-inning long ball of his career, fourth-most among active players behind Albert Pujols (15), Nelson Cruz (10) and Brian McCann (9), per the Elias Sports Bureau.

BBTN: Hinch on shifts, Puig and Dyson buck unwritten rules

Before a conversation between Jessica Mendoza and Astros manager A.J. Hinch about defensive shifts, Buster Olney and Jerry Crasnick discuss the Matt Adams conundrum in Atlanta, the Mets' displeasure with Yasiel Puig and more. Plus, Bob Kendrick, president of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, talks about the importance of the partnership between the museum, MLB and its players association.

Braves' Freeman: 'Mindset' is to return as 3B

Freddie Freeman originally suggested moving to third base to the Braves a few weeks ago and told reporters Wednesday that he is serious about a shift to the hot corner.

Braves' Freeman could play 3B upon DL return

The Braves could have a problem when Freddie Freeman returns from the DL, since he and hot-hitting Matt Adams both have primarily played first base in the majors. Atlanta, however, is considering playing Freeman at third base.

Braves' Colon to remain on DL with stiff back

Bartolo Colon's return to the Atlanta Braves' rotation has been put on hold, as manager Brian Snitker said Tuesday that the 44-year-old right-hander will remain on the DL a bit longer because of a stiff back.

David Schoenfield ESPN Senior Writer

Matt Adams has done a great job filling in for Freddie Freeman in Atlanta (slugging .658 with the Braves), but once Freeman returns there may not be room for him. With today's pitcher-heavy rosters, it's hard to carry a 1B-only bench player. How about a trade to the Astros, where Carlos Beltran hasn't been that good, or the Royals, who could use a DH?
