NCAA tournament championship probability

What are the chances of a team getting to the Final Four? Or winning the tournament? We show the impact of each game, updated throughout the night.

ESPN Stats and Information

Oregon has reached the Elite Eight for the fifth time in program history and will face Kansas on Saturday. The Ducks are still searching for their first victory during this round of the NCAA tournament.

ESPN Stats and Information

Oregon F Jordan Bell grabbed 13 rebounds Thursday vs. Michigan, his fourth straight NCAA tournament game with at least 12 boards. Per the Elias Sports Bureau, the last player to have that many rebounds in four consecutive tournament games was Oklahoma's Blake Griffin in 2009. (Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images)

Kansas coach Bill Self said he believes the Elite Eight is "the hardest game of the tournament because there's so much emphasis on the road to Final Four." Instead of playing for a Final Four berth, he wants his players to just stay in the moment of trying to win a game.

ICYMI: Underdogs were 2-1-1 ATS in Thursday night's Sweet 16 games w/ Oregon +1 and Xavier +7.5 pulling outright upsets. Kansas -5.5 over Purdue was the only favorite to cover while the push was Gonzaga -3 over West Virginia. Unders were 3-1 tonight. For the tournament, underdogs are 28-22-1 ATS (56 percent) w/ one game closing pick 'em while overs still lead 30-21-1 (58.8 percent).

BTW, if Derrick Walton Jr. makes that last shot, with Oregon sitting on two fouls to give, Dana Altman would have some 'splainin' to do.

Can Oregon now win the one game that has eluded the Ducks of this era? Could be an even harder match up than last year as a No. 1 seed.

Tyler Dorsey in the last six games: 22.8 points, 61.3 FG%, 57.1 3PT%.

Oregon brings Michigan's magical postseason run to an end 69-68 and advances to the Elite Eight for the second straight season. The Ducks await the winner of Kansas-Purdue for the right to play in the Final Four.

I'm not putting Michigan's Derrick Walton Jr., on the same level as Kemba Walker's 2011 NCAA tournament run at UConn just yet. But, wow, Walton has picked the Wolverines up every time they've needed him to make a big shot.

C.L. Brown ESPN Staff Writer

Oregon's Dillon Brooks showed the first bit of outward emotion after his last 3-pointer. Don't know if that means he's about to get on a roll, but he seems to play better when he does -- just check last year's Sweet 16 win vs Duke for proof.

Michigan not making open shots, but its offense is running smoothly. Wolverines had 10 assists on 11 baskets in the first half. Guard Derrick Walton Jr., with seven assists (four on 3-pointers) and 11 points. He accounted for 29 of their 33 first half points.

C.L. Brown ESPN Staff Writer

Chris Boucher's loss for Oregon was big, but Jordan Bell is reminding Michigan that he blocks shots too. Bell already has collected his per game average of two in the first half. Besides a missed dunk, Bell's playing a man's game in the post rebounding and scoring.

C.L. Brown ESPN Staff Writer

Oregon has to feel fortunate it's not trailing by more with its two leading scorers Dillon Brooks and Tyler Dorsey off to such a poor start. shooting. They average a combined 30 points per game but so far are a collective 1-for-8.
