ESPN Stats and Information

ESPN's BPI gives Gonzaga better than a 50-50 shot to win it all in Phoenix, thanks largely to drawing seventh-seeded South Carolina in the semifinals. North Carolina-Oregon is a tighter matchup by BPI's measure, hurting each team's title odds.

ESPN Stats and Information

After UNC (runner-up) and Oregon (Elite Eight) made deep tourney runs last year, each was given decent odds in Las Vegas to challenge for the title this season. Meanwhile, Gonzaga and South Carolina were preseason longshots.

ESPN Stats and Information

Only one team has entered the Final Four with a better average point differential than Gonzaga in the last two decades. However, that's hardly been a guarantee for previous heavyweights to win it all.
