Another Duke Blue Devil off the board. Luke Kennard goes to Detroit at No. 12. Frank Jackson stands and cheers with his parents. Harry Giles and Jackson could join their teammates by night's end.

Luke Kennard to the Pistons. He's the first non-freshman to be drafted this year. His 19 20-point games were tied for most in the ACC last year. The last time the Pistons drafted a Duke player in the first round was Grant Hill in 1994.

Frank Jackson stands up to support his former Duke teammate Jayson Tatum, who was drafted by Boston with the No. 3 pick. Both spent just one season at Duke and had nearly identical class schedules in the spring semester (including yoga).

ESPN Stats and Information

Celtics select Jayson Tatum No. 3 overall. This is the 4th straight year that Duke has had a top-3 pick (Jabari Parker, Jahlil Okafor, Brandon Ingram are the other 3). That ties UCLA (1974-77) for the longest streak of Top-3 picks. (Via Elias Sports Bureau).

Multiple NBA sources who received Harry Giles' medical info told ESPN that it was more favorable than they had anticipated. Two torn ACL's.

Hang out at the players' hotel long enough and you'll run into a number of recognizable basketball faces. Frank Jackson ran into Duke associate head coach Jeff Capel in the lobby.

Chad Ford ESPN Senior Writer

Harry Giles draft range is still difficult to pin down. Kings have interest at 10. Blazers have strong interest at 15 & 20. Pacers looking at him at 18. Thunder at 21 another possibility. Most of the doctors who have seen his medicals have cleared him medically. Still, lots of risk adverse GMs out there. I think anywhere he goes from 10-21, he's a steal.
