Kerem Kanter, the younger brother of Oklahoma City Thunder big man Enes Kanter, told ESPN that he will declare for the NBA draft but has received his release to play elsewhere next season if he decides to return to college.
The 6-foot-10 junior averaged 11.3 points and 6.3 rebounds at Green Bay last season despite averaging only 19.1 minutes per game. He will graduate and be eligible to play next season.
"My priority is the NBA draft," Kanter told ESPN. "If that doesn't work out this summer, I want to choose the best place to be able to get there next year."
