Miller, who is averaging 3.5 points per game for the Buffaloes, was ejected when he received a flagrant foul 2 with 12:25 remaining in the matchup after he bit Air Force's Hayden Graham during a tussle on the floor for a loose ball.
"I've never seen anything like it in 16 years of basketball," Graham said after the game. "He wanted to take a bite. It almost broke the skin. That's an interesting cat right there."
Miller was not available for comment after the game.
Colorado coach Tad Boyle said he had not had a chance to view the replay and did not have a clear picture of what happened beyond the explanation he received from the officials.
"They saw something. The Air Force player said something, and they felt like they confirmed it and they booted him," Boyle said. "We'll deal with it."
Boyle also spoke up in defense of Miller.
"Tory's a great kid," Boyle said. "I'm not talking about a good kid. Tory's a great kid. He's an emotional player, he's a competitive player, and he needs to learn to keep his emotions and those competitive juices in check."
The flagrant 2 could result in a one-game suspension for Miller if deemed an "act of fighting."
