COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Freshman Carter Murphy came off the bench to score 14 points, hitting all four of his 3-point tries, and Air Force flew past Division III-member Johnson & Wales (CO) 99-42 on Tuesday night.
Andray Thomas sank four 3-pointers and scored 14 to lead the Wildcats.
Air Force shot 63 percent from the floor, hit 9 of 14 from beyond the arc (64%) and made 26 of 30 free throws. Johnson & Wales shot just 26% from the floor, 28% from distance and made just 2 of 8 free throws. The Falcons also dominated the boards 43-23.
