2019 NCAA tournament bracket projection for Northern Kentucky Norse

It has been quite a three-year stretch for John Brannen's Northern Kentucky Norse squad. After completing its transition to Division I before the 2016-17 season, NKU has become a Horizon League force and is playing in its second NCAA tournament in only three years of eligibility. The Norse have established themselves as a potent offensive force, capable of hanging up plenty of points, as evidenced by their eight 90-plus-point games this season. Even though Northern Kentucky blew past top-seeded Wright State in the Horizon tourney final, it needed some Drew McDonald magic to get past Oakland in the semifinals. His 3-pointer with 1.6 seconds left gave the Norse a 64-63 win. McDonald, the Horizon League Player of the Year, is the key to the NKU attack. Can the versatile scoring options and an up-tempo style make life frantic for opponents in the tournament?

ESPN Insider has your answers, as Joe Lunardi has enlisted a team of Bracketologists to compile advanced metrics, key scouting intel and best- and worst-case tournament scenarios for all 68 teams to help you make smart picks in your bracket.
