While the World Boxing Super Series junior welterweight final is in limbo with the withdrawal of world titlist Regis Prograis and his lawsuit against tournament organizer Comosa AG, the cruiserweight final, a title unification bout between Mairis Briedis and Yunier Dorticos, is penciled in for Dec. 14 in Riga, Latvia, a source with knowledge of the plans told ESPN. Briedis, who is from Riga, and Dorticos both won their semifinal bouts June 15 at the Arena Riga, which would also host the final. The WBSS bantamweight final was announced last week with Naoya Inoue and Nonito Donaire set to meet in a unification fight on Nov. 7 in Saitama, Japan.
