In what was an entertaining back-and-forth battle, Ray Beltran returned with a dramatic ninth-round KO of Hiroki Okada. At the time of the stoppage the scorecards read 78-74 for Beltran and two cards had it even at 76-76. Beltran (36-8-1, 22 KOs) now looks for bigger fights at junior welterweight, while Okada (19-1, 13 KOs) suffers his first professional loss.
