Notre Dame landed ESPN 300 tight end George Takacs on Wednesday. The No. 176 ranked prospect chose Notre Dame over a ton of big offers, including the in-state schools of Florida and Florida State. Takacs is the seventh ESPN 300 tight end Notre Dame has landed since the 2013 class.

Safety Alohi Gilman will be transferring from Navy to Notre Dame, Fighting Irish head coach Brian Kelly announced on Friday. Gilman will be able to play starting with the 2018 season and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Hoge transferring to BYU

Notre Dame center Tristen Hoge has signed with BYU. Hoge will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out 2017 per NCAA rules. He joins his cousin, QB Beau Hoge, on the Cougars roster.
