Arkansas gets a big post-signing day pickup in the form of junior college defensive end Dorian Gerald. The No. 4 overall prospect in the ESPN JC 50 and the nation's top-ranked juco defensive end, Gerald was down to a final two of Arkansas and Texas A&M. New Razorbacks defensive coordinator John Chavis will certainly welcome Gerald's talents in the Hogs' front seven.

South Carolina linebacker Jaylen Moody is one player who benefited from not signing during the early signing period. Moody has seen offers come in since the end of December, and is now visiting Arkansas this weekend and Alabama before signing day in February. Moody, who is a part of the Carolina Xposure group, says that these next two visits will help shape his final decision.

Sources: UCLA is hiring former Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads to coach defensive backs. Sports Illustrated first reported the move. Rhoads most recently coached the secondary at Arkansas. He joins a defensive staff that will include Don Pellum and Jerry Azzinaro, both former Kelly assistants at Oregon.

With the latest wave of coaching changes complete in the SEC, that means the rest of the league has now had 43 different head coaches since Nick Saban was hired at Alabama in 2007. All but Georgia, LSU, Missouri and South Carolina have had three different head coaches since Saban arrived. Arkansas and Tennessee lead the way, each with five different head coaches.

SMU offensive coordinator Joe Craddock will move with Chad Morris to Arkansas. Morris turned over offensive play-calling duties to Craddock after their first season at SMU. Craddock had been a graduate assistant for Morris at Clemson. Very promising young coach.
