Georgia has gained the respect of the Bottom 10

Georgia fans have been complaining about their team not getting enough national recognition, but after going from No. 2 overall to the Coveted Fifth Spot, they've earned the Bottom 10's respect.

Northwestern beats Nebraska 34-31 on Drew Luckenbaugh's 37-yard FG in overtime after the Huskers bungled fourth down on their possession and blew a 10-point lead in the final three minutes of regulation. The Cats are 3-1 in the Big Ten and still control their destiny in the West, while Nebraska drops to 0-6 for the first time in program history. The school-record losing streak has reached 10 games.

QB Vedral immediately eligible for Nebraska

Transfer quarterback Noah Vedral, who followed Scott Frost from UCF to Nebraska, has been ruled eligible to play immediately for the Cornhuskers on Saturday.

Mitch Sherman ESPN Staff Writer

Really gotta wonder why it took so long for Noah Vedral to get cleared — if his waiver was stuck somewhere on a desk at the NCAA offices or in Nebraska's compliance department. Regardless, the sophomore QB is immediately eligible for the Cornhuskers today at Northwestern. Vedral is proficient in coach Scott Frost's offense, having served as McKenzie Milton's backup a year ago. He will provide much-needed depth behind freshman starter Adrian Martinez.

Scott Frost's comments today about Oregon State, regarding the Greg Bell transfer, are interesting — in light of the fact that as of next Monday, Nebraska can't block anyone (including Bell) from transferring to any school. And Bell is likely not going to consider OSU anyway. Nevertheless, Frost doubled down today on the permission-to-contact restriction, saying "there's no doubt in my mind" that Tristan Gebbia, Tyjon Lindsey and Avery Roberts were contacted by former Nebraska staffers now at Oregon State. If any contact occurred before the players received scholarship releases, that's tampering, of course, and against the rules.
